Should we expect more or less volatility this election season?

Should we expect more or less volatility this election season? The answer is probably more.  According to one trader - “It is be­ing priced as one of the most volatile ex­pected events of all time,” said Mike de Pass, global head of Trea­sury trad­ing at Citadel Se­cu­rities. 

 As we all know trying to trade around fast moving market action is a fools errand. However, managing our expectations for what may come later this fall can be helpful.  It’s important to maintain a long term perspective, have the right asset allocation, and own high quality investments. This can allow an investor the privilege to look past the short term noise, even when it’s really loud.
